Purpose
This app provides informational public-transit route planning between starting locations and Highlands Community Charter School campuses in the Sacramento area. It is provided as a convenience for students, families, and staff.
No Guarantee of Transit Accuracy
Routes shown in this app are generated using third-party transit and mapping data (Google Maps Platform and SacRT). Transit schedules, delays, stop information, arrival times, and walking directions can change at any time and without notice. Estimated arrival and departure times are not guaranteed to be accurate. Always confirm important trips using official SacRT information (sacrt.com) or the Google Maps app directly.
User Responsibilities
When using this app, you are responsible for:
- Entering an accurate home or starting address
- Selecting the correct school campus
- Allowing enough travel time, including buffer for delays
- Following all applicable public-transit rules and safety guidance
- Confirming current route and service conditions before traveling
- Protecting access to any device used to access this app
Service Alerts
This app displays SacRT service alerts (delays, detours, and closures) sourced from SacRT's public feeds. These alerts may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally unavailable if SacRT's own systems are down or changed. A visible alert — or the absence of one — is not a guarantee of current service conditions. Always confirm with SacRT directly for anything time-sensitive.
Third-Party Services
This app depends on external services, including Google Maps Platform and SacRT's public data feeds, whose availability and accuracy are outside Highlands Community Charter School's direct control. Interruptions or inaccuracies in those services may affect this app's functionality.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with this app or its underlying services
- Attempt to extract, guess, or misuse any protected credentials or configuration
- Use automated tools to scrape, abuse, or flood this app's functions
- Misuse the mapping or service-alert functionality for purposes other than personal trip planning
- Enter another person's address or location without their authorization

The Highlands Forward name and logo, and the "Highlands Brain" name, belong to Highlands Community Charter School and its designated operators. Third-party trademarks referenced (such as Google Maps and SacRT) belong to their respective owners.

This app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highlands Community Charter School and its operators are not liable for any missed bus, missed pickup, late arrival, or other transit-related outcome resulting from reliance on this app's route calculations, arrival estimates, or service alerts.
Termination or Restriction of Access
Access to this app may be limited or terminated for any user found to be violating the Acceptable Use section above.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
